If you’ve been wondering whether the Ninja SLUSHi Max can make frappés, you’re not alone. A lot of people have asked about it since the Max doesn’t include a dedicated frappé preset. The quick start guide does include a couple frappé recipes that use SlushAssist mode, so I decided to give it a try myself.

I made a Caramel Mocha Frappé, and it turned out incredibly smooth and creamy — honestly the best texture I’ve had yet on a Ninja SLUSHi machine. The mix of caramel, chocolate, and coffee hits that perfect balance between rich and refreshing.

If you don’t have the Max, you can still make this recipe on other Ninja SLUSHi models using the Frappé preset. And if your model doesn’t have that option either, try running it on Manual mode set to 2 bars for a similar result.

Either way, you’ll end up with a café-style drink that’s perfect for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat.

SELECT A SIZE

64 oz Max-Fill Ninja SLUSHi Machine

Select the serving size based on your Ninja SLUSHi model: “Regular” for the version with a 64 oz max fill line (available at most retailers); “Large” for the version with a 74 oz max fill line (sold exclusively at Costco); “Max” for the Ninja SLUSHi Max with the 112 oz max fill line; and “Small” for the version with a 48 oz max fill line (sold exclusively at Walmart.)

Combine the ingredients

In a large pitcher, whisk together the chilled coffee, half & half, caramel sauce, and chocolate syrup until smooth and fully blended.

Choose your setting

Ninja SLUSHi Max: Pour the mixture into the pitcher and select SlushAssist mode.
Other Ninja SLUSHi models: Use the Frappé preset if your machine has it.
Manual models: If your model doesn’t include a Frappé preset, use Manual mode set to 2 bars to achieve a similar consistency.

Slush to perfection

Let the machine work until the texture is thick, frosty, and smooth—similar to a blended coffee drink you’d get from a café.

Serve and garnish

Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream. Drizzle caramel and chocolate syrup over the top, then finish with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.
